A clinical Observation on Injuries of the Genitourinary Tract

Abstract

|
"The author has made the clinical observations of 38 cases, who had sustained the trauma on the urogenital organ, among 364 admissions during 3 years period between June. 1969 to May 1972, at the Department of Urology, Capital Armed Forces General Hospital, Seoul, Korea. And reports the results as the following: 1. The proportion of the number of trauma cases against total number of the admission was 10.4 percent. 2. Frequencies of traumatized organ were in order as follow a) Urethral rupture with ischial bone fracture: 31.6% b) Urethral rupture only: 21.5% c) Bladder injury with pelvic bone fracture: 18.4% d) Renal injury: 13.2% e) Bladder injury only: 7.9% 3. The causes and frequencies of the trauma were traffic accidents 89.4% 7.9% and gun-shot 2.6%."
